No. If you are on the islands, you can then phone service, but is very expensive. You need to either get a world phone and plan from your cellular provider or without text messages a week. Or spend a lot of money but just for your information ... on a cruise that stopped only on the island for hours, spent most of his time at sea, where mobile phones do not work at all. they have internet access on the ship, e-mail or instant messaging is perhaps the best way to stay in touch, even if your holiday!
